Candle Drawing

37cm x 46cm x 54cm
candles, oil papers, embroidery frames, bricks

As the candle burns away. The wheeled paper rotates and accumulates melted wax in a linear path. While the wax falls down, the soot from the lint rises up, one marking white while the other marking black. Through the process of rotation, the beginning touches the end, while the bottom becomes the top. This processed drawing is all middle; with no top, bottom, beginning, or an end.
